International star magician and illusionist David Copperfield recently published a new book entitled "David Copperfield's History of Magic." Rachel Shteir of the Wall Street Journal recently wrote a review of this book, and I felt compelled to say something about it. Her review includes a somewhat critical section about David's insufficient homage to some of the women in magic history; so... I felt compelled to say something about this also. I mean, that's what people do in podcasts sometimes; say something in response to things other people have said.

Halloween is right around the corner and Curtis is one of the few mentalists who could care less. No séances, haunted houses or bizarre magic shows are put on by this dude. However, he does have a favorite Count Dracula that he chats about, along with reading a funny excerpt from one of his favorite writers Thomas Sowell, as well as some hilarious stories from IT workers who share some of the ridiculous customer support calls they've been on that will make anyone with even a fleeting knowledge of computers, phones, etc., feel like a tech wizard.
Why the five-week hiatus? Curtis does some s'plainin' in this episode.
Another magician wins on AGT. Congratulations to Dustin Tavella, this year's finale winner of America's Got Talent! See the announcement here.
My Guest Has Worked With Robin Williams, David Bowie, Steven Spielberg, and Orson Welles, Just To Name A Few
Did you know there's a RIGHT way and a WRONG way to tickle a rat? What happens when you DON'T tickle them properly?
I also talk about the decreasing length of people's attention spans and the effect it seems to be having on our society's overall mental health, as well as teaching an amazing old trick that was recently called to memory from many years ago that you can learn in just seven short minutes and blow the minds of your staff, friends, family, and co-workers!
Well, I've gone and got myself in some pretty serious trouble with YouTube. Two of my videos have been taken down and my attempts to appeal to YouTube and Fremantle Media have resulted in nothing. Pretty frustrating going up against these media/platform giants as they can pretty much do whatever they damn well please. One more strike and they can shut down my channel completely.
The incident with Simone Biles' withdrawal from the Olympics is supposedly due to "mental health" but is it possible it is because of something else? What is this "something else?" Who is our "favorite serial killer?" Why did they take down my videos?
Well, listen to the episode and I'll tell you!
Also, there will be no August 7th Mastermind Show at the Loony Bin in Wichita.
Next public show is in Tulsa, August 14th @ 5 PM
